Anna-Maria Gierke completed her bachelor's degree in biology and her master's degree in biophysics at the University of Ulm. Her final thesis was on color adjustment based on the measurement of spectrally resolved scattering and absorption properties. She also completed her doctorate at the University of Ulm in cooperation with the Technical University in the field of “Photoinactivation of microorganisms under different aspects and different wavelength ranges”. She is a member of the “American Society of Photobiology“.
Anna-Maria Gierke has been a patent attorney candidate at the firm since February 2025 and is also aiming to take the European qualifying examination.
Her main areas of expertise are patent and utility model law, in particular in the fields of biophysics, biology, physics, photobiology, photophysics, medical technology, biotechnology, imaging techniques, and environmental technology.
