Swen Hentrich is a German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney, as well as a European Trademark and Design Attorney. He studied physics at Freie Universität Berlin and wrote his Diploma thesis within the Collaborative Research Center 337 "Energy- and Charge Transfer in Molecular Aggregates". His dissertation at Bremen University was supported bei the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft) within the framework of "In-Vivo NMR; Bioenergetics“. He is a member of AIPPI, GRUR, VPP and DPG.

Rebecca Hentrich studied law at the University of Passau, during which she specialized in information and telecommunication law, as well as data protection law. Dr. Martin Raabe

Martin Raabe studied chemistry at the University of Münster. Subsequently, he obtained his doctoral degree in the biochemistry department. His thesis related to lipid transfer in the human body. During this time he spent several months as visiting scientist at the laboratories of Nobel Laureates Wolfgang Huber (Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry, Munich) and Oliver Smithies (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill). He then worked three years as postdoctoral fellow in genetic engineering at the University of California, San Francisco supported by scholarships of the German Research Counsil (DFG) and the American Heart Association.

After he returned to Germany, Martin Raabe obtained first experiences in the area of IP while working as laboratory head in Bayer’s cardiovascular research facility on drug finding. For more than 10 years he was a member of the patent department of another leading German pharmaceutical company, ratiopharm GmbH in Ulm. He spent the majority of those years in various leadership functions including being associated director and acting head of the European patent department. His responsibility covered various IP activities, e.g., applications for patents and utility models, inventors bonus system, freedom-to-operate analyses, opposition procedures and coordination of pan-European nullification and infringement procedures. He qualified as European Patent Attorney and lectured IP law at the University of Ulm.

Siegfried Tiefenbacher

Siegfried Tiefenbacher completed the dual bachelor's program “Ulmer Modell” in the field of mechanical engineering, during which he also successfully completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic and a certified training as a specialist in hydraulic engineering. After graduating, he completed his training as a certified patent expert at IP for IP GmbH in addition to his work as a design engineer. Siegfried Tiefenbacher then completed a master's degree in patent engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. He worked in the patent departments of several medium-sized companies for several years.

Siegfried Tiefenbacher has been a patent attorney candidate at the firm since March 2024 and is also aiming to pass the European qualifying examination.

His main areas of expertise are patent and utility model law, in particular in the fields of technical physics and mechanics.

Anna-Maria Gierke

Anna-Maria Gierke completed her bachelor's degree in biology and her master's degree in biophysics at the University of Ulm. Her final thesis was on color adjustment based on the measurement of spectrally resolved scattering and absorption properties. She also completed her doctorate at the University of Ulm in cooperation with the Technical University in the field of “Photoinactivation of microorganisms under different aspects and different wavelength ranges”. She is a member of the “American Society of Photobiology“.
